Run For Children - Luang Prabang

Run For Children

Run through the enchanting streets
of Luang Prabang,
a UNESCO World Heritage jewel,
and feel your heart swell with purpose
while sustaining the beating of others.

Run For Children is a half marathon taking place in October every year.

All funds raised during this event support Lao Frienda Hospital for Children, a hospital opened in Luang Prabang in 2015 by Friends Without A Border, a non profit organisation based in New York and Japan, established in 1996 by world famous photographer Kenro Izu.

Today, Lao Friends Hospital for Children is the only provider of free, high quality healthcare for children of northern Laos in Luang Prabang Province. Nearly 150,000 children in need have received free medical treatment by LFHC since opening, averaging 30,000 children annually.

By joining this race, you will not only help save young lives but also enjoy the beauty of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage town in Laos. You can run through the scenic streets, temples, and rivers of this charming town, over 3 distances:

• 21 km
• 14 km
• 7 km

Their goal:
• Aims to raise money for Lao Friends Hospital for Children in Luang Prabang.
